Hello I’m Zena
Hello I’m Zena Dock,
I am a 23-year old, black quarter horse mare with a stripe on my nose and one white sock. I was a western pleasure horse before my human, Elizabeth found me. Now I am a retired dressage and therapy horse as well as the boss of the herd and my human makes sure everyone knows I am the queen. I found my forever human, always giving me love, cookies, attention, and her favorite horse to do photos and videos with because I am a queen and the face of A-Patch Farms.
Why I Started
I started because I love horses, and when I was going through my many surgeries dealing with chronic pain, Zena was there by my side every step of the way. When I was depressed and fighting for my life she was there, she was my reason to keep fighting and my best friend. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be here, so when I was 14-year old I decided I wanted to help horses the way they helped me. Help them mentally, physically, giving them love, training anything they need too help them find their forever homes. I also plan to do connection and bonding training for horses and humans, because I feel horses are so special, beautiful and deserve all the love and respect in the world.
My Missions is to help heal horses the way they healed me.

The Family Behind the Business:
While I (Elizabeth) is the face you’ll usually see online, none of this would be possible without my parents. Together we rescue, care for, train, and love every horse that comes through our gates. My dad is beside me every day with day to day care and barn maintenance and my mom is there helping the horses, healing their wounds, or encouraging this dream, they are an important part of our team.
Every horse that finds safety here is cared for by our entire family.
We may each have different roles but we all share one mission:
To give every horse the love, patience, and second chance they deserve.
